Die Hippie-Bewegung der 60er- und 70er-Jahre hat die Welt nachhaltig geprägt. Alles drehte sich um Werte wie Frieden, Liebe und Freiheit. Also Themen, die auch heute genauso bedeutsam sind wie damals. Die Hippies waren zudem Vorreiter im Hinblick auf Umweltschutz und Naturverbundenheit. Diese Werte spiegeln sich bis heute in der Mode dieser Bewegung wider.

Die Hippie-Bewegung begann in den 60er-Jahren in den USA und breitete sich schnell auf der ganzen Welt aus. Sie war eine Gegenreaktion auf die Konformität der damaligen Gesellschaft und setzte sich für Frieden, Liebe und Freiheit ein. Die Hippies trugen auffällige Kleidung, die ihre Ablehnung des Mainstreams ausdrückte. Ihre Mode war bunt, quirlig und oft mit Ethno Mustern verziert. Auffällige Muster und Farben waren ein Ausdruck der Rebellion gegen konservative Anzüge und Business-Kleidung. Blumenmuster, Mandalas und quirlige Motive zeigten deutlich, wer zur Flower-Power-Bewegung gehörte. „Make Love Not War“, war eines der wichtigsten Mottos der Hippie-Bewegung.

Die Liebe zur Natur zeigten ethnische Muster, die sagen sollten: Wir sind mit der Natur und den menschlichen Werten verbunden. Dabei liebten sie vor allem mexikanische und peruanische Motive sowie Naturmaterialien wie Baumwolle, Naturfasern und Steine als Accessoires. Kaputte Kleidung wurde nicht entsorgt, sondern geflickt, genäht, mit Patches versehen oder einfach mit Löchern und Rissen getragen.

However, if you like it a little simpler, choose colourful pants and plain T-shirts, tops or hoodies for the colder months.
• Accessories: Use accessories such as colourful scarves, ethnic jewellery and fringed bags to add a special touch to your look. Large sunglasses and a wreath of flowers in your hair round off the hippie look. Practically all natural materials such as feathers, stones, wood and shells are suitable as jewellery or accessories.
• Natural tones: If you prefer it simple, choose hippy pants in earth tones such as brown, beige or olive green. These are timeless and versatile and can be combined with colourful scarves, necklaces or scarves for the hair.
• Tops: Wear loose blouses, crop tops or tunics with your hippy pants. The boho style thrives on casual tops that emphasise the relaxed atmosphere.

Natural viscose is a material that is often used for Goa pants. It is a synthetic fibre obtained from natural cellulose. Viscose is particularly breathable and comfortable on the skin. It has the advantage that it can be easily printed and dyed, making a wide range of patterns and colours possible. This makes our pants particularly colourful and bright.

Viscose often feels cooler on the skinlighter and cooler than pants made of firm cotton. It is particularly breathable and therefore perfect for warm days. Cotton, on the other hand, is more robust and creases less. Both materials have their advantages and are suitable for different occasions and seasons.
