10 Fair trade principles of the World Fair Trade Organization
What fair trade at Paigh really means
Our products are created in close cooperation with partners who are based on the 10 principles of WFTO (World Fair Trade Organization). These principles are the basis for real fair trade - and therefore also for every decision we make at Paigh.
Here we show you what is behind these principles - and how they are lived at Paigh.
1. Opportunities for disadvantaged producers: create inside
Fair trade begins where people have little access to stable workplaces. Our partner manufacturers offer exactly these people-especially women and smaller family businesses-fair and long-term perspectives.
2. Transparency and accountability
We value open communication, fair contracts and honest partnerships. Our production paths are transparent - from the first contact to the finished garment.
3. Fair trade practices
Our partners receive fair prices, realistic schedules and planning security - without any exploitation or pressure. We rely on reliability instead of short -term margins.
4. Payment of fair prices
A fair price means more than minimum wages. Our partners can live, invest and reward their employees - for a worthy life with a future.
5. No exploitial child or forced labor
Our products are created exclusively in manufactures that clearly stand against any form of child or forced labor. That is not negotiable.
6. Land for non -discrimination, equality and promotion of women
All people earn the same opportunities - regardless of gender, origin or religion. Equality and inclusion are firmly anchored in the work of our partners.
7. Guarantee good working conditions
Fair fashion needs fair jobs. Our partners ensure safe, clean and humane conditions - including breaks, protective measures and health care.
8. Promote capacity structure
We think in the long term. That is why we support the establishment of knowledge, structures and stability - together with our local partners.
9. Promotion of fair trade
Our partners and we are actively committed to the values of fair trade - through education, transparency and honest storytelling.
10. Respect for the environment
Fair trade includes respectful use of nature. Our partners pay attention to environmentally friendly production processes, natural materials and resource -saving work.
