Paigh & the Sustainable Development Goals
Paigh stands for fair, colorful fashion that not only looks good, but also does good. Our goal is to continuously make our processes more sustainable and to take responsibility for people and the planet. We are based on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGS) of the United Nations - 17 goals for a better future.
Here you can find out how Paigh actively contributes to five central SDGs:
Goal 1: No poverty
Fighting poverty means creating fair economic opportunities for everyone. Our close cooperation with fair trade-certified manufacturers ensures that everyone involved receives existential wages along the production chain. This enables our partner: inside a stable income that offers their families access to education, health care and a better standard of living.
Goal 2: High quality education
Education is the key to a sustainable future. Through our fair trade partnerships, we support programs for training and further training for workers: inside-be it through training courses for sustainable textile processing or educational offers for your children. By entering into long -term collaborations, we will help you get better future prospects.
Goal 3: gender equality
Women play a central role in the textile industry. We work with manufacturers that not only pay women fairly, but also actively promote. Many of our production partners rely on equality by bringing women to management positions and enabling them financial independence. In this way, we help to create economic opportunities for women and to reduce existing inequalities.
Goal 4: decent work & economic growth
Sustainable fashion not only means environmentally friendly materials, but also decent work. We rely on fair wages, safe working conditions and long -term partnerships. By working with fair trade-certified manufacturers, we promote sustainable economic development and offer perspectives for entire communities.
Goal 5: sustainable consumption & production
Our responsibility does not end in fair working conditions - the environment is also important to us. We rely on sustainable materials such as organic cotton and avoid overproduction through timeless designs and durable quality. In addition, we are continuously working on making packaging more environmentally friendly and minimizing the ecological footprint of our products.
Our path is not perfect, but we are constantly working on becoming more and more sustainable.
