paigh & the Sustainable Development Goals
paigh stands for fair, colorful fashion that not only looks good but also does good. Our goal is to continuously make our processes more sustainable and take responsibility for people and the planet. In doing so, we are guided by the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) – 17 goals for a better future.
Here you can find out how paigh actively contributes to five key SDGs:
Goal 1: No poverty
Fighting poverty means creating fair economic opportunities for everyone. Our close collaboration with Fair Trade-certified manufacturers ensures that everyone involved in the production chain receives a living wage. This provides our partners with a stable income that provides their families with access to education, healthcare, and a better standard of living.
Goal 2: Quality Education
Education is key to a sustainable future. Through our Fair Trade partnerships, we support programs to educate and train workers—be it through training in sustainable textile processing or educational opportunities for their children. By entering into long-term partnerships, we help future generations gain better prospects.
Goal 3: Gender equality
Women play a central role in the textile industry. We work with manufacturers that not only pay women fairly but also actively promote their work. Many of our production partners are committed to equality by placing women in leadership positions and enabling them to achieve financial independence. In this way, we contribute to creating economic opportunities for women and reducing existing inequalities.
Goal 4: Decent work & economic growth
Sustainable fashion means not only environmentally friendly materials, but also decent work. We focus on fair wages, safe working conditions, and long-term partnerships. By working with Fair Trade-certified manufacturers, we promote sustainable economic development and offer opportunities for entire communities.
Goal 5: Sustainable Consumption && Production
Our responsibility doesn't end with fair working conditions—we also care about the environment. We rely on sustainable materials like organic cotton and avoid overproduction through timeless designs and long-lasting quality. We also continuously work to make packaging more environmentally friendly and minimize the ecological footprint of our products.
Our path is not perfect, but we are constantly working to become more sustainable.
