Self -made gingershot - support your immune system
Ginger shots are real immune boosters! And we can really use that in times like these. This trendy drink from the USA is supposed to protect against illness and give us an energy boost in the morning. You can now find ginger shots in our supermarkets, too. At three to five euros per serving, they unfortunately cost a small fortune. Find out here how you can easily and affordably make ginger shots at home.
The basic ingredient of the ginger shot is—who would have thought it?—ginger. The root contains many important vitamins and nutrients, including potassium, vitamin C, and phosphorus. These are essential for strengthening our immune system. The gingerol it contains also has pain-relieving, expectorant, and anti-inflammatory effects.
Why a ginger shot and not ginger tea?
A ginger shot has one significant advantage over ginger tea: Heating ginger loses important vitamins and minerals. However, if you process the root in its raw form, as in the ginger shot, all of these nutrients reach your body. This allows you to make much better use of the great potential of this small tuber!
It's clear that oranges and lemons contain many important vitamins. Another ingredient is turmeric: This spice is particularly popular in Ayurvedic cuisine and is considered very healthy. The curcumin contained in turmeric has antioxidant properties, anti-inflammatory properties, and protects our cells.
This healthy ginger drink requires only a few ingredients. Once prepared, the ginger shots can be stored in the refrigerator for up to six days, giving you a little vitamin boost every morning to boost your immune system.
If this is your first time trying a ginger shot, don't worry, you'll get used to the spicy and sour taste! After all, this trendy drink isn't known for its delicious taste, but for its health-promoting benefits... :)
