Yin and Yang - The Law of Polarity
After we have already looked at the Law of Attraction After discussing this, I'd like to focus on another universal law today: the law of polarity. To introduce this law, I'd like to refer to a phenomenon in physics. I know you're thinking, "Oh no, right? I think I'm out." But don't worry, this isn't going to be a physics lesson—I promise! So, let's get started!
Let us briefly address the “wave-particle duality.” This is a kind of scientific term for the law of polarity. The wave-particle duality is “a finding of quantum physics according to which the objects of quantum physics must be ascribed the properties of classical waves as well as those of classical particles” (WikipediaThis simply means that we can't say exactly whether light quanta are waves or particles. Depending on the type of measurement, different properties appear – so both waves and particles seem to be present. Interesting, isn't it? But what does this have to do with the law of polarity?

The Law of Polarity
The law of polarity states: Everything can be divided into two completely opposite parts, each of which still contains the potential of the other. Everything in this world consists of opposites. There are always two poles that are mutually dependent.
So, to bridge the gap to physics, this means that particles possess the potentiality of waves, and waves possess the potentiality of particles. White also has black, slow also has fast, and depth exists alongside height. The same applies to elation and depression, kindness and cruelty, generosity and stinginess, and so on...
Like Yin and Yang, everything consists of polar opposite principles or forces that nevertheless relate to each other and do not fight but complement each other.
So nothing is just beautiful or just tragic. It's not possible to have one without the other. Think about it: Are there good parts in you? Yes. Are there bad parts in you? Yes. Of course! There's "good and evil" in each of us. No person is either just good or just evil. Labeling things as good or evil helps us grasp them and be able to talk about them. But dividing things into opposites, into "either/or," makes us see everything in black and white. It distances us from the source, from love, from unity.
Everything is both
So, when we experience a negative emotion and can recognize the same and opposite positive emotion co-existing with that negative emotion, then the negative emotion is no longer a negative emotion, but love.
Let's imagine an example to illustrate this: Suppose your partner breaks up with you. You love them with all your heart, but the breakup isn't a pleasant experience. You feel anger, rage, sadness, perhaps even jealousy or self-doubt... But if you ask yourself, "I'm sad because I loved them, and now they're gone. But what can I see as positive about this situation? What can I be happy about?"
Maybe your partner was stingy, and you weren't. This held you back and prevented you from spending your money the way you would have liked.Perhaps your partner was controlling and very jealous, which made you feel trapped.
Do you understand what I mean?
For every reason you're sad, there's also a reason to be happy. This may seem like a very rational and uncomfortable thought (after all, in a situation like this, all you want to do is be sad and angry, right?). But when you can see life from this perspective, you'll be much more balanced, and your emotions will also be more in balance.
Every time you feel an extreme emotion, you also create the opposite in the same form. When you realize that one-sidedness is merely an illusion and not the truth, you can see the world as it truly is: a perfectly balanced system.
When you allow yourself to perceive both sides simultaneously (the whole, the positive and the negative), you open yourself to the universe and can recognize its perfect ingenuity. Everything contains its opposite. Everything is love.
This is the essence of the law of polarity.
Creation and Destruction
The universe is thus both creator and destroyer. Stars explode every second. But every death of a star also means the creation of new planets, new solar systems, and new life:
Destruction creates creation and creation ultimately creates destruction.
We're used to having ONE perspective. It's often very difficult for us to simultaneously adopt another (opposing) perspective. It feels strange or even painful. And no one claims that polarity is always easy. But if we manage to perceive both poles at the same time more often, then we can see the truth.
Do you agree with this perspective? Or do you see things differently? Feel free to share your opinion with us in the comments below this post!
